| Old Gallo-Roman housing, the village was constituted in the XIIth century around a priory which became thus one of the first agenian "sauvetés". It is in 1205, that Sauvetat de Savères became a walled town. While strolling in the streets of the borough, you will notice many remains of the past. Church of XIIth century, typical wash-houses, bridge of XIVth century. In the neighbourhoods, many mills and pigeon are still visible. Certain painters of European fame had made of Sauvetat de Savères their place of residence and their source of inspiration. |

| The Excursions A 12 kms track, at the beginning of the village, makes it possible to discover the surroundings in particular the church of Saint Damien, located with the heart of an ancient cemetery.
