The very noble and ancestral family of the Counts of Missandre was originating from the "Comte", close to Montastruc.
In the XVIth century, Jean de Missandre, rider, sior of Pécaubel, came to the castle of Missandre. The castle was the parish and jurisdiction of St Pastour.
The descent of the Count lived in Missandre until July of the year 1996.
Pierre and Annie-Paule Pigeard then took again this property which had undergone the ravages of time, to make it passionately live again.
